It’s official. I passed my HF assessment last Saturday and made my first five QSOs(n.) A two-way contact between amateur radio stations.

Seems funny how this was the part of getting a licence I was dreading the most. I still have the actual exam to get through about three weeks from now, but I’ve completed the first step of the process.

I’m still practising CW as I think I’ll be spending a lot of time with a key instead of a microphone. There’s just something cathartic about sending and copying Morse.
